Job Summary:

The Landscape Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of landscape installation projects, specifically on new construction sites. This position requires strong leadership and field operations experience to ensure work is completed on time, under budget, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution:

  • Recruit, hire, and coordinate field staff for multiple ongoing projects

  • Attend pre-job walkthroughs and visit each job site multiple times weekly

  • Ensure all landscape installation work adheres to project plans and specifications

  • Document all changes, extras, and gather approvals as required

  • Monitor weekly job cost reports and correct labor, purchasing, or accounting issues proactively

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Leadership & Management:

  • Uphold and exceed policies related to field operations, safety, quality control, and training

  • Supervise and evaluate foremen, conducting bi-weekly team meetings

  • Provide onboarding and continuous training for new hires and team members

  • Promote organizational values, mission, and company culture among field teams

  • Ensure proper usage and management of tools and equipment

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols

  • Ensure all field staff wear proper uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Immediately report workplace injuries to the appropriate safety/human resources contacts

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of commercial landscape construction experience (specifically installation, not maintenance)

  • Experience reading and interpreting construction plans

  • Effective bilingual communication (English/Spanish preferred)

  • Proven leadership and management skills

  • Public Works (PW) experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed

Position: Senior Project Manager

We are a leading provider of mission-critical infrastructure delivery, with over 20 years of experience in technical project delivery. Our team has set the standard for building the critical power and cooling infrastructure that supports data centers.

Role Overview:

This position is responsible for the overall strategy of the project management team, overseeing multiple projects’ design, procurement, and construction, including cost, schedule, and quality control. The Senior Project Manager will manage all aspects of client projects, including sub-consultants, contractors, site management teams, design teams, contract administration, and construction accounting. The role also involves coordinating team bandwidth requirements with resource management and mentoring project management staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Manage multiple clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Build on established client accounts and identify future business opportunities.

  • Keep clients informed about the process, deliverables, and necessary decisions during the project.

  • Lead project teams to meet client expectations for deliverables and communication.

  • Act as an escalation point for customer-facing issues and implement corrective actions.

Team Management:

  • Set clear goals and expectations for all project management team members.

  • Organize regular team meetings to monitor project progress, design, documentation, and construction status.

  • Conduct regular owner’s status meetings and ensure proper staffing of key positions.

  • Oversee team training (e.g., quality control, OSHA safety certifications).

Project Strategy:

  • Maintain the project budget and provide accurate forecasts of costs.

  • Lead decision-making processes and problem-solving efforts for project execution strategies.

  • Coordinate and lead client meetings, preparing meeting minutes and tracking action items.

  • Review and prepare scopes of work, schedule requirements, and manage subcontractors and change orders.

  • Oversee project construction to ensure compliance with approved specifications, schedules, and budgets.

  • Manage the master schedule, document delays, and ensure that safety and quality inspections are scheduled.

Staff Development:

  • Select, coach, and develop staff by setting clear expectations and inspiring performance.

  • Recognize achievements, provide feedback, and manage performance issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of field and previous project management experience.

  • 2-4 years of direct management experience with employees and subcontractors.

  • Proven ability to lead teams through conflict resolution, motivation, and problem-solving.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in all aspects of project management.

  • High-level understanding of construction techniques, including HVAC, electrical, low voltage systems, plumbing, framing, building envelope systems, and environmental issues.

  • Advanced skills in cost estimating, project scheduling, and contract management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Scheduling, and Adobe Acrobat; Timberline experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Institute (PMI) or Professional Engineer (PE).

Compensation: The annual salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $185,000, depending on experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular use of hands for manipulating objects or controls.

  • Periodic standing, walking, bending, and reaching above the shoulders.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

  • Regular computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Travel up to 80% for site visits, meetings, and client interactions.
