Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to oversee and direct a team of engineers and designers. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality civil and structural engineering services within project budgets. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of engineers and designers, ensuring efficient delivery of all civil/structural deliverables.
- Project Planning: Develop project scopes, establish design criteria, and ensure compliance with state, local, and federal standards.
- Execution: Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality standards using established tools and methods.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve calculations, designs, and vendor drawings, ensuring alignment with codes, specifications, and good engineering practices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all project aspects.
- Deliverables: Produce detailed designs, construction specifications, and bid packages while monitoring progress and addressing challenges.
Ideal Background
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with coursework in structural engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil and structural engineering.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise in creating and reviewing civil/structural specifications and construction documents.
- Proficiency in estimating project costs, scheduling, and tracking progress.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation), and Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven ability to lead teams, deliver presentations, and manage cross-office collaboration.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and installation details for construction materials and equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
