Position Overview

We are looking for a Mulesoft Architect / Software Developer to join an ongoing project on a 12-month contract. The role involves working with a team of developers to design, configure, test, and deploy solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and related technologies. You will collaborate with functional leaders and subject matter experts to meet business needs and ensure the effectiveness of MuleSoft systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance MuleSoft solutions in collaboration with the internal product management team and external vendors.

  • Design and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs using RAML or OpenAPI specifications.

  • Build Mule flows, Scopes, error handling strategies, and flow controls using Mule 4.x.

  • Develop solutions with integration connectors (e.g., Database, Salesforce, FTP, JMS).

  • Lead design sessions and present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, planning, and retrospectives.

  • Provide input, clarifications, and support to developers during the creation of deliverables.

  • Utilize tools like Git, Maven, and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery.

  • Configure API Gateways with policies like security, throttling, and rate limiting.

  • Monitor and log integration performance using ELK Stack or MuleSoft’s monitoring tools.

Qualifications Required

  • Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Experience:

    • At least 8 years of programming experience, with 5+ years hands-on as a MuleSoft Architect/Developer.

    • Experience working in an Agile environment.

    • Expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.

    • Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs.

    • Strong knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., batch, pub/sub, service orchestration).

    • Experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect for secure integrations.

    • Experience with cloud platforms like Salesforce, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

    • Familiarity with event streaming and message queues (AMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

    • Knowledge of database systems and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect

  • MuleSoft Certified Developer I/II

  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • A 7-year HireRight background check is required.

Position Overview

The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Administrator to join its Technology Services Division. The role focuses on the deployment, management, and optimization of ASRS infrastructure and applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure a stable, high-performing, and secure environment. This position also includes a potential transition to a full-time role after 6–9 months.

This position is primarily remote but requires on-site presence as needed and during the first three days of employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT teams, including Information Security, Service Desk, Quality Assurance, and Production Support, to sustain a stable and highly available infrastructure and application environment.

  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and operational maintenance of ASRS infrastructure and applications.

  • Proactively monitor and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.

  • Drive DevOps and automation initiatives to enhance team efficiency and operational capabilities.

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation, desk procedures, and operational policies.

  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities in infrastructure and applications.

  • Administer and manage:

    • Multi-tiered COTS applications

    • Public cloud services

    • Physical and virtual servers

    • Storage arrays and SAN systems

    • Security appliances

    • Active Directory and Group Policy

    • Secure remote access, remote desktop, and VDI environments

  • Adhere to Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Management processes.

  • Perform IT Service Management tasks, including creating tickets, troubleshooting, and documenting progress.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Systems or equivalent experience (5+ years as a server/network administrator in a medium-large enterprise).

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware).

  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered application architectures.

  • Expertise in:

    • Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems

    • Linux Server operating systems

    • Automation using PowerShell or other platforms

  • Proven skills in customer service, problem resolution, organization, and critical thinking.

  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing needs, and follow operational policies.

  • Experience in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise cloud and on-premises data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Arizona Procurement Portal (APP), DOORS, or the LPA DBE System.

  • Familiarity with contract setup and audit entries in systems such as DOORS or LPA DBE.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must pass a 7-year background check (FPCC).

  • The position is remote but requires occasional on-site visits and on-site presence during the first three days of employment.
