Salary: Competitive pay based on your experience, ranging from entry-level to highly experienced professionals (0-30 years).

 

Schedule:

- Shift: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts (7am – 3:30pm). 

- Call Schedule: Earn $4.00/hour while on call, with a minimum of 8 shifts/month (including 1-2 weekends).

- Call Back: Enjoy time and a half with a minimum of 2 hours paid when called in.

 

Shift Differentials (Based on Majority of Hours Worked):

- Evening Shift (3pm – 11:30pm) = 8%

- Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) = 11%

 

Caseload/Procedures: 

You’ll be handling 30+ cases per week, with procedures including TCAR, AAA, Peripheral Vascular, Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Right and Left Heart Cath, STEMI, and Stroke.

 

What You’ll Do: 

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you’ll play a key role in the cardiovascular catheterization lab. From operating radiographic fluoroscopic equipment to assisting physicians and maintaining a friendly, efficient environment, your expertise will make a difference. You’ll also participate in a shared call rotation and work variable shifts.

 

What We’re Looking For:

- Credentials: One of the following – ARRT, CVT, RCIS, or CST.

- Experience: At least 1 year in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac/general cath lab.

- Skills: Proficiency in X-ray, monitoring, and scrubbing. 

- Certifications: BLS on day one and ACLS within 3 months.

Principal Accountabilities

 

·         Performs mammography radiographic exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images.

·         Enters and monitors patient data.

·         Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.

·         Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.

·         Takes emergency call within the department.   

·         Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

·         Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Director of Radiology, perform quality CT scans and radiography while applying both radiation and physical safety measures. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

·        Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license for Radiography.
