Job Description
· Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures of Cardiovascular care.
· Knowledge of state and local laws and regulations governing Cardiology services/systems.
· Collaborates with clinical team to maintain the cardiovascular program.
· Reviews/abstracts records for Cardiovascular Registries.
· Participates in the development of policies and procedures, creates processes for evaluating system performance and patient outcomes.
· Provides oversight of data abstraction (may use third party)
· Ensures data accuracy.
· Disseminates data to stakeholders.
· Utilizes data for evaluation of clinical processes.
· Coordinates and oversees the ongoing CQI process to improve care of the cardiac patient population.
· Assists in the planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations.
· Oversees the tracking process for data related to throughput of the cardiac patients and provides data to the Chest Pain Committee to initiates changes as appropriate and to improve outcomes.
