We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing team dedicated to building cutting-edge data platforms for the intelligence community. This is your chance to work on impactful projects that directly support national security, utilizing the latest in cloud technologies and DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support multi-cloud DevOps initiatives across AWS environments, including cloud migration and application modernization efforts.
- Integrate innovative programs into state-of-the-art DevOps pipelines.
- Analyze and report on data trends, using historical data and current events to project and communicate key findings to management.
- Participate in Agile software development processes, ensuring continuous innovation and enhancement of custom applications.
- Collaborate with team members to assess and test functionality based on User Story Acceptance Criteria.
Required Skills:
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred, or Top Secret and willing to obtain CI Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in AWS/Cloud technologies and OpenShift AWS hosting platforms.
- Familiarity with software development or software integration projects in cloud-based, SOA, or web-services environments.
- Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and workflows.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures, Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances), and system engineering documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in managing AWS technical performance and cost.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker container strategies, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with cross-domain architectures and change management.
- Hands-on experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
