The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how to extend it to the edge. As an Edge Cloud engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities that can be deployed at austere environments at the edge. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.
As an Edge Cloud engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
You'll work closely with cloud architects and engineers on exciting and innovative projects focused on deploying container platforms to various environments including physical servers, bare metal, and Edge Compute devices. This role demands a skilled individual with a strong DevOps background, adept in container and AWS technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain container platforms and create repeatable patterns for seamless deployment and robust performance.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
5+ years of experience in troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues with CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
Experience with developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
Experience with developing, managing, and securing containers
Experience with developing enterprise cloud-native solutions in Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure
Experience in working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative team environment
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to display a collaborative mindset
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience with DevOps in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with deploying Kubernetes on small-scale devices, including Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson
Experience with AWS Snow family products
Experience with deploying Kubernetes to physical servers and bare metal environments.
Experience with creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
Experience with creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
Experience with triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
Knowledge of scripting languages, including Python or Linux Shell Script
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
