Position Overview:

A leading defense and aerospace company is seeking an experienced SIGINT Systems Architect to support the identification and acquisition of new business opportunities in the domestic and international Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) marketplace. This role involves working with customers to develop system architectures, requirements, and strategies while leading internal research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and capture new business opportunities in SIGINT, including Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Communications Intelligence (COMINT), and Direction Finding (DF) Systems.

  • Lead and support internal research and development (IRAD) initiatives across multiple programs.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Intelligence Community (IC) and Defense customers.

  • Collaborate with customers to develop system Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and technical requirements.

  • Present technical capabilities and system offerings to customers, both domestically and internationally.

  • Align business strategy, capabilities, and investments with SIGINT and Electronic Warfare (EW) markets.

  • Conduct competitive analyses and establish strategic teaming relationships.

  • Work with Export Compliance teams to secure necessary export licenses for international business pursuits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (or 8 years with a Master’s degree).

  • Extensive experience with direction-finding systems, RF signal processing, and system modeling.

  • Expertise in analyzing and characterizing SATCOM and communication signals across multiple spectrums.

  • Strong leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams and customer engagements.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for signal processing algorithm development.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with a sense of urgency.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% worldwide.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years.

  • Strong understanding of the SIGINT, COMINT/DF, and EW marketplace, including customers and competitors.

  • Experience in DSP software development and performance evaluation of signal processing solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and innovate in system development life cycles.

  • Proven track record in negotiation and securing buy-in from stakeholders.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
