 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrument Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented group of engineers and designers on high-impact projects in the electrical and instrumentation engineering space. As a lead engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing the complete delivery of project requirements on time, within budget, and up to our high-quality standards. This newly created role is designed for someone who can bring extensive industry expertise to complex engineering projects with minimal supervision.

 

 Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and provide technical direction over the engineering team, ensuring timely and quality delivery of project milestones.

- Oversee and validate project estimates, track changes, and manage the project budget, scope, and scheduling controls.

- Develop initial project designs, including detailed layouts, specifications, and engineering calculations.

- Produce and monitor electrical deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality expectations.

- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure efficient project progression, delegate tasks, and verify calculations and specifications.

- Manage construction specifications, bid packages, and vendor reviews, facilitating procurement and subcontract negotiations.

 Ideal Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering 

Experience: 15+ years in industrial electrical and instrumentation engineering 

Licenses: Professional Engineering registration preferred 

 

Must-Haves:

- Industrial Power Systems expertise

- Electrical Engineering degree

- 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering roles

 

Nice-to-Haves:

- Professional Engineering License 

 

 Core Skills and Abilities

- Proficiency with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical installation specifications.

- Strong understanding of power system design, voltage drop calculations, and motor control center loading.

- Expertise in CAD software, project estimating, scheduling, and construction cost estimation.

- Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate across teams.
