Citrix NetScaler 12.x Essentials and Traffic Management

Course Overview

Designed for students with little or no previous NetScaler experience,  the primary objective of the Citrix NetScaler Essentials and Traffic Management course is to provide the foundational concepts and skills necessary to implement, configure, secure, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot a Citrix NetScaler system for application delivery. To reinforce learning objectives in this course students will work through exercises such as configure advanced load balancing and GSLB on a NetScaler, customize the NetScaler for traffic flow and content-specific requirements, and employ recommended tools and techniques to troubleshoot common NetScaler issues within a virtual lab environment. 

The content is based on version 11 of the Citrix NetScaler product, but the skills and fundamental concepts learned are common to earlier product versions.

 

Note: it is not recommended to take both this five-day Citrix NetScaler Essentials and Traffic Management (CNS-220) and the five-day Citrix NetScaler Essentials and Unified Gateway (CNS-222), as these courses share the same first three days of content

Part 1: NetScaler Essentials (Days 1-3) (CNS-218)

Learn the skills required to implement NetScaler components including secure Load Balancing, High Availability, and NetScaler Management. At the end of the course students will be able to configure their NetScaler environments to address traffic delivery and management requirements including load balancing, availability, and NetScaler operation management.

Part 2: NetScaler Traffic Management (Days 4-5) (CNS-219)

Learn the skills required to configure and manage NetScaler Traffic Management features, including Content Switching, Traffic Optimization, and Global Server Load Balancing. At the end of the course students will be able to configure their NetScaler environments to address efficient traffic switching and resilience requirements including content switching, traffic optimization, and disaster recovery.

Deploying Enterprise Mobility Solutions with Citrix XenMobile

Course Overview

This course provides the skills necessary to install, configure, and integrate components in a Citrix XenMobile 10 Enterprise solution. Students with limited or no XenMobile experience will gain an understanding of the components of a XenMobile Enterprise solution and their functions. Students will deploy and configure the XenMobile Enterprise components, apply principles to enroll mobile devices, install mobile apps, and use policies to manage device and application usage in a lab environment. In addition, topics such as how to integrate additional Citrix products and applications as part of the solution and how to troubleshoot some of the most common implementation issues will be discussed. Students are expected to leverage their own mobile device (personal or corporate-owned, not already enrolled in another Mobile Device Management solution) to use during hands-on lab exercises.

Course Overview

This course provides the skills necessary to manage, support, and troubleshoot a Citrix XenMobile 10 Enterprise environment. Students with limited or no XenMobile experience will gain an understanding of what is required to maintain the components of a XenMobile Enterprise solution. Students will have access to hands-on exercises within a virtual lab environment to configure and test policies, manage device and application usage, perform troubleshooting and reporting, and more.


Students are expected to leverage their own mobile device (personal or corporate-owned, not already enrolled in another Mobile Device Management solution) to use during hands-on lab exercises.

This course is based on the latest XenMobile product release, but the skills and fundamental concepts learned apply to earlier product versions.

Course Overview

Designed for students with little or no previous XenApp or XenDesktop experience, this course provides foundational knowledge of the XenApp and XenDesktop platform. You will learn how to install, configure, and manage a highly available environment comprised of XenApp and XenDesktop controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Receiver, Director, and Profile management.

This course is offered in instructor-led training (ILT)/virtual instructor-led training (vILT) formats with application of concepts through hands-on exercises in a live lab environment.

Exam vouchers are also included.

Note: This course is based on XenApp and XenDesktop 7.x CR (Current Release) including the handson labs. The current release of XenApp and XenDesktop is updated frequently with new features and improvements and as such, course content may not always reflect the latest features. This course replaced CXD-203 and CXD-235.

Course Overview
